New Alumni Portraits Hung in Hall for 2026

As is Pembroke tradition, a new set of six photographic portraits featuring recent alumni has been hung in the Dining Hall, celebrating the extraordinary lives and achievements of Pembrokians in a wide range of sectors.

Dr Annette Idler Discusses US Action in Venezuela

Dr Annette Idler, has been researching and writing about global security, particularly in South America, for over 15 years. Over the past 10 days her expertise has been called upon worldwide to explore recent US actions in Venezuela and their wider impact.

Pembroke Fellow Dr Eamonn Molloy Awarded OBE in New Year Honours List

Pembroke Fellow and Tutor in Management Dr Eamonn Molloy has been recognised in the 2026 New Year Honours List. He was awarded an OBE for services to the Royal Air Force in his role as Chairman of the Royal Air Force Central Fund.

George Cull (2017, Mathematics) has recently achieved outstanding results in his university final exams by obtaining a first. George also won a college award given for students with exceptional performance in sciences, the Cleobury Prize. The MCR Summer Trip is an annually funded trip for Pembroke College graduate students aimed to bring some fun to the long vacation. This year, our graduate students (or Middle Common Room ‘MCR’ as we refer to them) chose Bournemouth as their destination! They also went to Salisbury on their way.

Huge congratulations to Nicole Sze-Yi Doyle (2018, History and Politics) who has recently excelled in her University final exams, ranking 5th in her cohort! Nicole’s thesis, ‘Seeing Through Their Eyes: Drawings by Hibakusha of the Women and Children of Hiroshima’ has been awarded the Olwen Hufton Prize for best thesis on gender history.
