New Alumni Portraits Hung in Hall for 2026

As is Pembroke tradition, a new set of six photographic portraits featuring recent alumni has been hung in the Dining Hall, celebrating the extraordinary lives and achievements of Pembrokians in a wide range of sectors.

Dr Annette Idler Discusses US Action in Venezuela

Dr Annette Idler, has been researching and writing about global security, particularly in South America, for over 15 years. Over the past 10 days her expertise has been called upon worldwide to explore recent US actions in Venezuela and their wider impact.

Pembroke Fellow Dr Eamonn Molloy Awarded OBE in New Year Honours List

Pembroke Fellow and Tutor in Management Dr Eamonn Molloy has been recognised in the 2026 New Year Honours List. He was awarded an OBE for services to the Royal Air Force in his role as Chairman of the Royal Air Force Central Fund.

The Text Behind the Text: Pembroke Fellow to Speak at Event on "Forgotten Editor" of the Oxford English Dictionary

How do you make a dictionary? Following the recent discovery of editors' proofs (showing handwritten edits) from the first edition of the Oxford English Dictionary, an event on 17th November will feature talks from a variety of academics, including Pembroke's Professor Lynda Mugglestone, on the life and work of second OED editor Henry Bradley and his contribution to the dictionary which remains at the forefront of lexicography today.

New Pembroke Scholarship Renamed In Memory of Dr Holger Kramer

We are pleased to announce the renaming of the College’s Graduate Scholarship in Chemistry to the Holger Kramer Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship has been named in memory of Dr Holger Kramer, a former Biochemistry tutor at Pembroke who died suddenly last year.

Dr Nicole Miranda Serves as Scientific Advisor for UK Parliament’s Environmental Audit Committee (EAC)

20 October 2023

During the UK Environmental Audit Committee’s 25th Anniversary at Imperial College earlier this year, Pembroke Lecturer in Engineering Dr Nicole Miranda pitched for the Committee to launch an inquiry on heat adaptation in the UK. She won this pitch and last month, the EAC started gathering evidence for an inquiry titled ‘Heat Resilience and Sustainable Cooling’.
