Annabel Eyres first learnt to row during her time at Pembroke, where she studied Fine Art between 1984 and 1988. By 1992, she had rowed in two Boat Races and was heading to Barcelona for the Olympic Games that summer. This year, Annabel makes her return to the Games, though in a form more closely related to her degree subject than her extracurricular activities – as an Olympic artist. 

On 29th June, 1624, Pembroke College received its Royal Charter from King James I, declaring Pembroke the newest constituent college of the University of Oxford. Seeking to reshape how we think about the law of estoppel, Joel’s article identifies the rationale of this area of law and explores its relationship to other related doctrines. “Starting Afresh: Reformulating and Reconceptualising the Law of Estoppel” was published earlier this month as one of the four Private Law articles in the 13th Edition of the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal, which can be found here.
