Rokos Internships
The Rokos Internship scheme offers STEM students the unique opportunity to take part in the latest scientific research through fully-funded summer internships.
The scheme covers the cost of accommodation, academic and living expenses, with a generous stipend.
Generously funded by Pembroke alumnus Chris Rokos, the programme is designed to support the academic performance of our undergraduate community and offer opportunities for our STEM students to pursue internships in a wide variety of fields.
In the past students have used the Rokos Internship scheme to undertake placements at research centres, laboratories and field stations around the world. They have studied renewable energy and robotics in Austria; the growth, health and development of children and mothers in Samoa; and the nutritional needs of honeybee species in Oxford.
Pembroke students can find out more about eligibility and how to apply on the Pembroke Hub.
Rhiannon says...
"I learned so much in a short space of time and got a taste of what real scientific research is like. I feel as though I have contributed (in a tiny way) to the advancement of research into AM symbiosis, which is extremely rewarding."
