Brettschneider Fund Offers New Exchange Opportunities with Cornell University
NEWS |
We are pleased to share that alumnus Mr Michael Borkan has recently given a generous gift to establish the Abraham and Henrietta Brettschneider Cornell Exchange Fund at Pembroke.
The Brettschneider Fund aims to facilitate exchanges between the University of Oxford and Cornell University, providing awards which fund research and academic travel to Cornell. The Fund supports members of the College to take part in workshops, conferences, seminars, summer schools, internships, archival research, collaboration, thesis research, staff exchanges and more.
We are immensely grateful to Mr Borkan and his family for their generous support of the College community. Funds like this create opportunities for our students and researchers to learn from and contribute to global academic communities, encouraging them to push the boundaries of their own research and work with others to find solutions to the challenges facing today’s societies. Further details about the Brettschneider Fund and other available funding at Pembroke can be found here.
In recognition of Mr Borkan’s generosity to Pembroke, the GAB (Geoffrey Arthur Building) Common Room has been named in honour of the family.
