Schools Liaison and Student Support Officer

We are looking for a full-time Schools Liaison and Student Support Officer for the Academic Office, ideally starting mid-September to be in post for Freshers Week. This is a diverse, challenging and busy role, requiring sound administration skills, together with an enthusiasm to provide an excellent standard of service in a Higher Education environment.

The position is a key member of the Academic Office team. The postholder will take a lead in delivering the College’s recruitment activities and work with schools to provide information and guidance to potential applicants and their teachers.  The post will also involve supporting on course students, data handling, and systems management.

Salary £27,000-£32,000 per annum depending on experience. Benefits include a generous holiday allowance, membership of the University pension scheme, free meals on duty, and a travel pass loan scheme. The College also operates an Employee Assistance Programme to support the wellbeing of its staff.

About the Academic Office

The Academic Office comprises a close-knit team of six, who work in conjunction with the Academic Director to provide a high level of support to both students and academic staff.  The team is responsible for the full cycle of academic administration within the College, from open days and outreach activities, to academic progress and welfare matters for on-course students, to examination arrangements and graduation ceremonies.
