Students and Alumni Connect in April Telethon for the Pembroke Annual Fund

NEWS |

A team of 13 Pembroke students took part in a telethon from 5th – 18th April to raise money for the Pembroke Annual Fund, achieving an incredible £150,000 in pledges over four years.

The Pembroke Annual Fund helps to provide library resources, to support students in financial need, to improve our access programmes, and to create new student-led initiatives and much more.

Our student callers spoke to over 500 alumni worldwide, and had the opportunity to exchange stories about College life as well as seek career advice.

In a hugely successful campaign, 53% of those spoken to pledged a gift to Pembroke, while 128 new regular gifts were made. An additional £25,000 was raised through a matching scheme, whereby a group of generous donors pledged additional funds for every new regular gift received.

Pembroke is enormously grateful to all alumni who have supported our recent telethon, as well as to our students who have each made a significant contribution to the expansion of provisions and opportunities for their fellow Pembrokians.
