Pembroke alumna Sofia Panourgias has won the Society for the Study of French History Dissertation Prize for her undergraduate thesis, selected from candidates across the UK and Ireland. Her research explored how debates around reproductive rights in France were shaped by colonial and migrant experiences, challenging the idea of a unified feminist movement.

Pembroke Fellow in Engineering Professor Nick Hawes was recently appointed to the DSIT Robotics Advisory Group, an expert body established to provide insights and constructive challenge, including advising on government robotics policy and strategic direction.
