Pembroke Tutors Nominated for Outstanding Tutor Award in the OUSU Teaching Awards 2017

We are delighted that Pembroke tutors Professor Rebecca Williams and Dr Rebekah White have been nominated for awards in this year’s Oxford University Student’s Union (OUSU) Teaching Awards.

Prof. Williams is a Tutor in Law, the Blackstone-Heuston Fellow and an Associate Professor of Law. She teaches Criminal Law and Administrative Law and lectures on EU Remedies Jurisprudence. It is the second year in a row that she has recieved a nomination. Last year Prof. Williams was nominated for ‘Outstanding Tutor’ and 'Outstanding Pastoral Support'. This year she has recieved a nomination for 'Outstanding Tutor'.

Dr White is a Stipendiary Lecturer in Psychology at Pembroke and has received a nomination in the same category. She is a tutor for the PP and EP Prelim in Psychology (Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Social Psychology).

OUSU noted the extraordinarily high number of nominations this year. They said: ‘Thank you to all nominated for the enormous improvements you have made to the Oxford student experience’.

Prof. Williams has also recieved an nomination in the Special Recognition category.

Congratulations to both Dr White and Prof. Williams on making the shortlist, we look forward to hearing the results. The awards ceremony will take place on 11th May 2017 at 6.30pm in the Oxford Town Hall.
