Pembroke Providing Free Meeting Space to Community Groups

NEWS |

Pembroke is one of seven colleges who have created a scheme that will see free meeting space offered to Oxfordshire's arts and community groups.

From 1st April organisations receiving funding from Arts Council England will be able to request space for rehearsals, performances, and meetings through Oxford City Council.

The Oxford Playhouse, Pegasus Theatre, Oxford Fire Station, Oxford Contemporary Music and Modern Art Oxford will be among the organisations benefiting from the scheme.

Pembroke is offering use of The Pichette Auditorium and seminar rooms, subject to availability around the College's own activities.

The programme will last for a year. If successful, it is hoped the scheme can be expanded in future to include more colleges and university buildings.
