Access Week 2025: From Local to Global

Designed to emulate 'a week in the life of an Oxford undergraduate', Access Week is an annual summer residential at Pembroke College. Select pupils from our target regions who have participated in our Access and Outreach programmes were invited to attend the residential, which took place this summer. We welcomed 120 pupils who participated in tutorials, seminars, mock interviews, academic trips, and much more.

Pembroke College Boat Club Mens’ First Eight Qualify for Henley Royal Regatta

We are thrilled to report that the Pembroke College Boat Club (PCBC) Mens' First Eight recently qualified for Henley Royal Regatta. The student-only crew beat 50 international schools, colleges and universities to claim their chance to row.

Fending off large universities such as Bristol, Nottingham, Warwick, Sheffield, Manchester and Tufts, to gain the opportunity to compete at the most prestigious amateur regatta in the world is a remarkable achievement. We wish them the very best of luck!

Cox, Anna Carbery (Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 2015), commented: ‘After a tough time trial against 50 other crews for just 9 spots on Friday, we're delighted to have qualified as the only single-college Oxford crew to race in Henley Royal Regatta, with our first race on Wednesday!’
