The Night Malcolm X Spoke at the Oxford Union: book event for 50th anniversary

Professor Stephen Tuck, Fellow and Tutor in History at Pembroke, has published a new book to mark the 50 year anniversary of a speech by Malcolm X at The Oxford Union.

On Monday 1st December 300 students, colleagues and pupils from local schools gathered in The Oxford Union debating chamber for a special book discussion event.

Moderated by Oxford University's Professor Lyndal Roper, the event featured a keynote address from Professor Tuck as well as comment from Rodnell Collins (Malcolm X's nephew), Dr Selina Todd (historian and author of The People) and Hope Levy-Shepherd (Co-Chair of Oxford student organisation CRAE - the Campaign for Race and Equality).
