Emma Lisney (BA Music, 2015) Reaches Oxfordshire Concerto Competition Final

Pembroke Music undergraduate and violinist Emma Lisney has been selected for the final of the Oxfordshire Concerto Competition, which gives exceptional young talent from the county the opporunity to perform with the renowned Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra.

Emma, who is currently in her first year at Pembroke, will join Myrddin Rees Davies (horn) and David Mears (clarinet) at the final, where she will be playing Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 63.

The final will take place in the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford, on Thursday 10th March 2016 at 7.30pm.

Emma spoke to Pembroke about her anticipation ahead of her next performance: 'I am very happy to have got through to the final, and it's an amazing opportunity to play with such a fabulous orchestra.'
