Dr Peter Claus and Dr Rebekah White awarded at the Oxford Student-Led Teaching Awards

NEWS |

Congratulations to Dr Peter Claus and Dr Rebekah White for each winning awards in their respective categories at last night's SU Oxford Teaching Awards, held at the Ashmolean Museum.

Dr Claus won the award for Diverse and Inclusive Education, and Dr White won the award for Supporting Students (non-academic category).

Dr Rebekah White commented:

‘It is a privilege to hold a welfare role at Pembroke, and to play a small part in supporting students who are experiencing challenges during their time at Oxford. I feel very lucky to work as part of the College's extensive and dedicated Welfare Team, and am honoured to receive an award for supporting students’.

Dr Peter Claus commented:

‘It is an honour to have received this award last night. It was a great evening celebrating together with the students at the Ashmolean. In many ways it was an award for Pembroke and the 10 year commitment of the students themselves to the OxNet approach which remains unashamedly academic, regionally targeted and collaborative'.

The Student-Led Teaching Awards scheme highlights the importance of the student experience and student's voice within the University and Colleges.

Every year the Student Union acknowledges the University's lecturers and staff members who offer encouragement, motivation and inspiration whilst challenging and engaging their students.

Well done to all nominees and congratulations to all winners!
