British Commission for Maritime History Award for Mike Joseph (2011)

For his final year history dissertation Mike Joseph (2011) chose the area of maritime history, with the title: ‘To be hanged in Chains in the most publick Place where Ships pass and repass’: The Punishment of Maritime Crime at Execution Dock, 1701-1784.  His work has received a national award for undergraduate achievement from the British Commission for Maritime History.
