Congressman Tim Griffin (1990) has been elected Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas.

Tim, who was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010 and re-elected in 2012, currently represents the 2nd Arkansas district in Congress. Prior to this Tim served as interim U. S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Before that, he served in the White House as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush and Deputy Director of the White House Office of Political Affairs.

The office of Arkansas Lt. Governor is something of a Pembroke tradition. Winthrop “Win” Rockefeller (1969) served for ten years as Arkansas Lt. Governor, 1996-2006. Win died of cancer while in office, and his widow, Lisenne, served as Tim Griffin’s Campaign Chair.
