Professor Ariel Ezrachi’s ‘Competition Overdose’ Receives Widespread Acclaim

NEWS |

Congratulations to Pembroke Fellow and Tutor in Law, Professor Ariel Ezrachi, who co-authored ‘Competition Overdose’, which has been released to widespread interest and acclaim.

Competition Overdose focuses on the idea that competition is an overprescribed economic solution within society. The book argues that unbridled rivalry can actually hurts consumers, weaken entrepreneurship, and increase economic inequality. It then suggests solutions that can be used to promote sustainable growth and progress on a wider scale, as opposed to simply continuing to support those at the top.

Competition Overdose has been lauded by a number of prominent figures and organisations in the field of business and economics. In particular, Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook and Tommaso Valletti, former Chief Competition Economist of the European Commission, have praised the book as being ‘entertaining and thought provoking’ and ‘a must-read’. Furthermore, Inc. Magazine included the book in its list of ‘16 New Business Books you Need to Read in 2020’ and it was also featured in Publishers Weekly’s ‘Top 10 Business and Economics Books for Spring 2020’.

The book was released on March 17th and is now available online.
