About the Speakers
Nina Paine (Global Head, Cyber Stakeholder & Government Engagement @Standard Chartered Bank)
As Standard Chartered’s Global Head, Cyber Stakeholder & Government Engagement, Nina is committed to building strong and sustainable public-private partnerships to address cyber risks more efficiently. In liaising with, amongst others, regulators, industry associations and law enforcement, she seeks to enhance all parties’ understanding of the critical role each plays in securing cyberspace for global communities. She is experienced in the creation of organisational cyber strategies to support business objectives, Board, Executive and Regulatory reporting on cyber risk, and strategic intelligence. She sits on the Board of the Chartered Institute of Information Security which, with its Royal Charter, is dedicated to raising the standard of professionalism in information security. Nina spent over a decade at the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency (NCA), leading European, multi-site teams in the UK and abroad to fight organised crime; encouraging international colleagues to join forces to better protect victims of crime.
Nick Viney (Senior Vice President and General Manager @Avast)
Recently joining Avast as Senior Vice President and General Manager for its Telco, Internet of Things (IoT) and Family business unit. In his role, Nick will oversee Avast's global strategy for the business unit and will lead the development of the company's position in smart home security while expanding its overall portfolio of security products and partners including telecommunications providers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Prior to this role, Nick has also worked at Cyber 1, a publicly listed enterprise cybersecurity provider, where he was Group CEO,and has held Regional Vice President roles at McAfee in both the consumer and corporate sectors. Nick has also held leadership positions within the consumer, SMB and enterprise business units at Google and Microsoft. His experience covers multiple channels to market including the mobile and carrier sector and the IoT market as well as OEM and Retail.
