Are you ready for an out of this world experience? Come along to the PIVT launch event to witness Oxford’s newest and most exciting society lift-off.
There will be a number of experts who will cover the political, technological and business implications of recent developments in the space sector. There will be a chance to chat with attendees and speakers over free space-themed drinks and snacks, after the main discussion.
Chad Anderson is Managing Director of the Space Angels Network, the only global venture capital firm dedicated to investments in aerospace. Sam Adlen is the head of Business Innovation at the Satellite Applications Catapult, which gives support to new companies aiming to develop satellite-based products and applications. Dr Jill Stuart is an academic based at the LSE and editor of the journal ‘Space Policy’, as well as being a frequent media presence. Alan Brunstrom is the head of the Applications Business Office at the ESA, with a particular focus on assisting SMEs with expertise and funding.
Pembroke Innovative Ventures and Technologies (PIVT) is a new society founded as a free forum to encourage the sharing of ideas about the future of technology. We have a particular focus on entrepreneurship as the vehicle through which new scientific ideas can be realised.
