'Poetry at Pembroke', a series of poetry readings taking place throughout Trinity term! 

The series has been organised by Dr Peter King, Lecturer in Philosophy at Pembroke. Performances take place every Monday evening at 6pm between 23rd April - 11th June.

Sarah Watkinson’s pamphlet, Dung Beetles Navigate by Starlight, was a winner in the 2016 Cinnamon pamphlet competition.  She has been writing poetry since 2012, following a scientific career in Oxford.  Her work has won prizes and appeared in magazines including Antiphon, Ink Sweat & Tears, Litmus, Pennine Platform, Rialto, Under the Radar, and Well Versed, and in anthologies.  With Jenny Lewis at The Poet’s House she organises the annual summer SciPo event for science poetry at St Hilda’s College, where she is Emeritus Fellow.

Rebecca Gethin lives on Dartmoor.  In 2017 two pamphlets were published: A Sprig of Rowan by Three Drops Press and All the Time in the World by Cinnamon Press, who had previously published a full collection called A Handful of Water and two novels.  New work appears in various poetry magazines.  She has been a Hawthornden Fellow, and runs a Poetry School seminar in Plymouth.  In 2018 she has a writing residency at Brisons Veor.
