Pembroke Diversity Week

Pembroke Diversity Week - a series of events sponsored by the Pembroke Annual Fund - has been created by the JCR to encourage Pembrokians to embrace the diversity of students in College and help create a more inclusive community for minorities.
The week is marked by six unique events, detailed below, plus the opportunity for College members to draw their thoughts about diversity, equality and inclusivity at Pembroke on a 'Diversity Canvas' in the JCR. These events are free and open to members of the University of Oxford.
Sunday 24th April
International Welfare Tea
Monday 25th April
Access Movie Screening (The History Boys) followed by a talk about Pembroke's Access Programme
Tuesday 26th April, 8-11pm
Broken Rainbow Open Mic Night in the College bar to raise funds for the UK's only LGBTQ+ Domestic Violence Charity
Wednesday 27th April, 9pm
'Islam and Islamophobia' talk by Zara Mohammed and Samayya Afzal
Thursday 28th April, 6pm
Ableist Language Workshop by Johnathon Byrne, a Norfolk-based disabled actor and advocacy ambassador for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Friday 29th April
'Why Focus On Reducing Women's Imprisonment?', a talk by Jenny Earle, Programme Director at the Prison Reform Trust
