The Making of Waterloo

The Making of Waterloo will commemorate the bicentennial of the influential battle and explore the retrospective construction of the ‘myth’ of Waterloo from the perspectives of a variety of countries, cultures, and disciplines. Speakers will include:
Tim Farrant (Pembroke College, Oxford)
Alan Forrest (University of York)
Elisabeth Jay (Oxford Brookes, emerita)
Rob Johnson (Changing Character of War Programme, Oxford)
Andrew Kahn (St Edmund Hall, Oxford)
Francis O’Gorman (University of Leeds)
Nicholas Rodger (All Souls College, Oxford)
Nigel Sale (Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum)
Helen Small (Pembroke College, Oxford)
This event will be free and open to the public, but registration is required. Lunch will be provided, and a drinks reception will follow at 5.30pm.
