‘Leader of the PAC’ – Public Lecture by The Rt Hon Dame Margaret Hodge MP

On Thursday 25th February, The Rt. Hon Dame Margaret Hodge MP will give a lecture in the Pichette Auditorium at Pembroke College.

Dame Margaret has been a Member of Parliament for Barking since 1994 and is the former Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, the first female and elected person to take that role. She carried out several roles in the Labour Government between 1998 and 2010, and fought off the challenge from Nick Griffin and the British National Party in her constituency, doubling her majority to 16,555 in the 2010 General Election.

The lecture, on the topic of Dame Margaret’s work with the Public Accounts Committee, will be from 5-6pm.

The session will include short Q&A and a drinks reception will follow.
