Launch: North West Science Network

Pembroke has teamed up with Xavarian College in Manchester and Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, for the launch of the North West Science Network, aimed at STEM students in the Greater Manchester area.

The North West Science Network strives to engage students with an ongoing programme of academic activities, encouraging them to explore their scientific interests.

The Launch event will feature a lecture - suitable for Y11-13 students - by Professor Sir Colin Humphreys, physicist and Director of Research at Cambridge University, on "How Gallium Nitride can Save Energy, Purify Water, Be Used in Cancer Therapy and Improve your Exam Performance!"

This will be followed by a STEM fair covering a broad range of science domains and attended by postgraduates, academics and industry professionals.
