Art Gallery Exhibition Opening: Salt Room Wanderings - 'When Night Falls'
PAST EVENT | 13 October 2016 17:00
You are invited to join the Pembroke JCR Art Fund Collection for the opening of Krikor Momdjian's first UK show at the Pembroke Art Gallery on 13th October 2016.
See the Facebook event page here.
Krikor Momdjian is an Armenian-Lebanese multimedia artist and poet, who has been based in the Netherlands since 1979. He will exhibit a variety of early and recent paintings, etchings and an installation
There will be a drinks reception from 5pm followed by a talk from Pembroke’s fellow in Armenian studies, Prof. Theo Maarten van Lint, and the JCR Art Fund curator, Sarah Hegenbart, at 5:30pm in the Pichette Auditorium.
This event also marks the launch of two books: one of the artist’s works, the other of his poetry translated into English. A choice of these poems has been set to music and will be performed during the event by Berlin-based composer, Christoph D. Ostendorf, and Bass-Baritone, Florian Hille.
The event will finish with a special viewing of Krikor’s work in the Pembroke Art Gallery.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12-2pm throughout Michaelmas Term (final day 25th November). For more information visit www.pembrokejcrart.org.
