Colophons as Sources for the History of Anatolia, the Near East, and the Caucasus 

This lecture explores the genre of colophon writing in the medieval Armenian manuscriptl tradition, highlighting their importance as primary sources for the history of Anatolia, the Near East, and the Caucasus. It will include a review of the history of the development of the genre in the Middle Ages, a discussion of the current research on the topic, and an examination of several colophons. 

Lecture followed by 30-45min discussion
