Please find a booking form for the 2019 Teachers' Conference here.
Pembroke holds a yearly conference for teachers and senior managers from the UK state sector. This conference is usually targetted at teachers working at state schools in our linked regions (Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham in London, Bolton, Bury, Cheshire, Halton, Rochdale, Warrington and Wigan), but for 2019 we have opened remaining places to all UK state schools.
The 2019 Teachers' Conference will be held on 5 July 2019.
The conference is where we connect teachers and senior managers from the state sector together with our academics and students, in a lively and stimulating environment. The focus of this year’s conference is ‘Open Oxford – from making successful applications to flourishing on course’. We will discuss how teachers and schools can help their students prepare for success in university admissions and studies, with sessions on access initiatives, the Oxford admissions process, the Oxford tutorial system, and student welfare and well being on course.
The conference will also offer great networking opportunities, and as ever, our undergraduates will be on hand to offer their own perspectives as current students. The conference will include a lunch in Hall, and conclude with an evening dinner.
Overnight accommodation on Friday night will be offered free of charge to those travelling long distances. Accommodation on the preceding Thursday will also be available to those with extremely long journeys.
The conference is scheduled to run from 11am to 6pm, and will be followed by a drinks reception and group meal.
Please find a booking form for the 2019 conference here- bookings will remain open until 12 noon on Wednesday 19 June, or until the conference is fully booked. Please email Kirsty Simpson (Admissions and Access Officer) at firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries.
