Teachers' Conference

Each year Pembroke College runs a summer conference for teachers and senior managers from the UK state sector. This year our teacher engagement will take the form of three online twilight sessions for teachers working in the North West of England, Hammersmith and Fulham, those linked to our OxNet Hubs, and other schools by special invitation.

The schedule of sessions is as follows:

Thursday 23 July (3-6pm). In this session we will provide an update on Oxford admissions and teaching in light of Covid-19, followed by panel sessions with our academics and students. The event will conclude with an open forum for attendees to discuss areas they wish to be covered in future events.

Thursday 20 August (3-6pm). This session will offer a bespoke schedule informed by the areas that participants identify in the first event.

Thursday 10 September (3-6pm). This event will offer an in depth look at the Oxford admissions process, including practical ways that teachers can support their students. Any further updates on admissions in light of Covid-19 will also be discussed. We anticipate that attainment and attainment gaps are one important issue which will come up in this session.

State sector teachers and school staff are invited to sign up for these sessions here.
