Subject Centres
Working out of our hub schools or colleges, Pembroke Subject Centres offer something different to the core academic courses. They deliver academic activities in subjects perceived to be non-vocational, including seminars, lectures and summer schools. These centres reach a much greater number of students in each area, as well as teachers and the wider community – which, it is hoped, in turn contributes to a change in mindset and perception of a wider constituency in the local area.

Pembroke has co-founded subject centres in Classics, Science, Theology and Languages in sixth form Colleges in London and the North West to encourage the study of a wider range of disciplines at university level.
Based at Westminster Academy, the London Centre for Languages and Cultures (LCLC) is a partnership with Pembroke and The Open University, and promotes the study of languages.
The North West Philosophy and World Religions at Ashton Sixth Form College offers an academic programme open to Year 12 students in state sixth forms across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
Based at South Cheshire College, the Science centre is a partnership with Pembroke and Corpus Christi College Oxford. This year's theme for study is Imaging. Read more...
