Study at Pembroke
Pembroke College has been described as the hidden gem of the University of Oxford. We are tucked away in a corner of the city, a stone-throw from the bustling city centre and just across the road from the beautiful Christ Church Meadows.
Pembroke is a lively and supportive academic community. We are committed to excellence, and our strong inter-disciplinary ethos and collaborative environment encourages undergraduates, graduates and academic staff to work together. Our recently launched MCR/JCR Mentoring Scheme pairs up graduates with undergraduates to provide academic and study guidance. We are committed to ensuring that motivated and talented students from any background feel able to apply to Pembroke, and are proud pioneers of an in-depth academic outreach programme with state schools in London and the north-west of England.
Pembroke offers a variety of Undergraduate and Graduate courses, a year-long Visiting Student Programmes in association with top universities in the USA and Hong Kong, accommodation for three years of an undergraduate course, generous Financial support and Scholarships, and step-free access to communal areas and many bedrooms (see our Access Guide for details).
We hope you will be encouraged by what you read here and would love to meet you at one of our Open Days. If you require any other information don’t hesitate to contact our Admissions and Access Officer, or see the full list of Academic Office contact details here.
Pembroke is home to undergraduates from around the world, studying a wide range of subjects. These pages provide information on the degrees we offer, scholarships avaliable and details on how to apply.
Pembroke plays host to graduates in a wide range of subjects from a diversity of backgrounds throughout the world. Find out about funding, accommodation and social activities on offer here...
Pembroke operates a vibrant, full-year Visiting Student programme with select US universities, for students undertaking a Junior Year Abroad (JYA), which allows participants to enjoy the full "Oxford" experience.
The College library is open for use by all members of Pembroke, and others by appointment with the Librarian, Laura Cracknell. The College archive is available by appointment with the Archivist, Amanda Ingram.
