Medicine
Pembroke College has an impressive group of tutors and lecturers who look after and teach the medical students throughout their time at Oxford.
The College admits four Undergraduate students and two Graduate Entry students each year to read Medicine. Our medical students are part of the Oxford Medical School, which was ranked as the best in the world since 2011.
Oxford is a world leading University for Biomedical Research and our medical students play an active part in that programme of research. Our teaching and research are intimately linked and medical students are not only taught by world experts, but also have the opportunity to undertake original cutting edge research as a part of their degree. Importantly our medical course is ranked consistently as the best in the UK in the National Student Survey.
Pembroke's medical students are tutored by a team of experienced academics and practitioners, led by Professor Jeremy Taylor, who is a human anatomy expert with a particular interest in the wiring of the brain and nerve fibre growth.
