Dr James Wills
I am Departmental Lecturer in Philosophy at Pembroke. I studied Physics and Philosophy at Brasenose before completing a PhD in Philosophy at the LSE. In between, I served a stint as teacher of maths and physics at Bedford School. I am now lucky enough to spend a year teaching some of Pembroke’s Philosophy undergraduates and I am also looking forward to extending my PhD research in the foundations of thermal physics. I am particularly interested in exploring the lesser-known geometric formulation of thermodynamics, and investigating to what extent it can help us better understand or solve some of the field’s traditional foundational puzzles.
