Pembroke Students Celebrate Excellence in 2016 Examination Results

Congratulations to Pembroke students, who are celebrating a range of excellent exam results this year. Just some of their fantastic achievements are summarised below:

36 finalists obtained First class degrees

25 students received Distinctions in their Preliminary/Moderation exams

10 graduate students received Distinctions in their MSc examinations

The following students also received prestigious University prizes for excellent performance in their subject areas:

Sebastian Anderssen: Gibbs Prize for excellent performance in Neuroscience

Sama Al-Sharifi: Wronker Prize for Medicine

Harry Hamer: Wylie Prize (awarded for a thesis written on American history)  

Rhiannon White: Proxime Accessit for the Weiskrantz prize (in Psychological Studies for best performance in Psychology papers in Part 1)

Adrian Doerr: Law Faculty Prize in Comparative Corporate Law

Anoushka Nightingale: Fred Holcroft Prize for best performance in History of Spanish language/Spanish dialects

Elisabetta Ronchi: GlaxoSmithKline 3rd Year Undergraduate Prize in Practical Organic Chemistry & Gibbs Book Prize

Thomas Critchley: Economics and Management Prize 2016 (highest mark in Financial Management Paper in Prelimary Examinations) & Gibbs Prize (Economics and Management Prelims)

Katherine Wood: Porter prize for best performance in FHS Part 1 exam in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry

Thomas (Harry) Moore: Senior Dudbridge Prize for Classical Chinese

Emily Qureshi-Hurst: Gibbs Prize (Philosophy and Theology)

Timothy Wheeler: Proxime Accessit Gibbs Prize (Management in E&M FHS)
