Thanks and Recognition
The College is grateful for all gifts, and eager to recognise those who donate.
All donors are personally thanked and listed in the Annual Report (unless anonymity is preferred). In addition, some qualify for the forms of recognition listed below:
The Tesdale Society: Formal notification of an intended bequest to College entitles the legator to membership of the Tesdale Society, who meet every two years over formal lunch in College.
The Ossulston Circle: A recognition society for significant supporters of the College, the Ossulston Circle brings its members together over formal lunch in Hall every other year.
The Master's Circle: Membership of the Master's Circle is exclusive to leading donors and brings them together at a choice of annual evening events, preceded by a discussion of the College's strategy and academic priorities in the Master's Lodgings.
SCR Membership: This membership confers the privileges that come with use of the Senior Common Room, including dining rights and the ability to use SCR facilities when in Oxford.
Foundation Fellowship: The highest honour Pembroke bestows on a donor is the election by Governing Body to a Foundation Fellowship of the College. Invitations are then extended to exclusive Fellowship and College events.
Naming Opportunities
Where appropriate, donors may be further recognised through naming of:
- Academic posts
- Scholarships
- Physical facilities – ranging from major buildings to seminar and teaching rooms.
Please contact Alice Gosling, Strategic Development Director, regarding any Naming Opportunities in College.
