Tamsin Lewis (1988, Literae Humaniores) - An Hue and Cry after Christmas
Covid-19 means that we are all having to live with restrictions this Christmas, but it could be worse. In the 17th Century, Christmas was actually banned...
Tamsin Lewis (1988, Literae Humaniores) has made a short video with her early music ensemble Passamezzo, An Hue and Cry after Christmas, using music, words and song of the time to describe how Parliament banned Christmas during the English Civil War.
Hoping that future years will be better!
