Hebrew & Jewish Studies
The College welcomes application from undergraduates keen to read Hebrew and facilitiates the course in Jewish Studies.
Admission to read Hebrew and Jewish Studies is through the regular procedures. No special preparation is necessary and a genuine interest in Jewish Studies is essential.
Candidates may seek advice from Dr Melchert at Pembroke or from Professor Goodman at the Oriental Institute.
Pembroke College has made it a policy to build up interest in Oriental Studies and is the only undergraduate college to have three tutorial fellows from the Oriental Studies Faculty. Courses include Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Chinese, Hebrew & Jewish Studies and Japanese.
