Student 1785-1790

John Lemprière (1765-1824) was a Classical scholar, theologian, teacher and headmaster. He is best remembered for his Classical Dictionary, written at the age of just twenty-three. He later went on to be a teacher at Abingdon School and a clergyman, although he neglected both roles and resigned from them.
