Teaching activities

FHS Medieval literature, including the Origini, Guittone d'Arezzo, Dante, Petrarch, and Boccaccio.

Prelims literature and translation.

Research interests

Italian literature of the middle ages. David is currently working on representations of female and feminine voices in from the 'Origins' the to Dante. He also has ongoing research interests in dialogue (especially the tenzone tradition of debate poems) and in representations of time and temporality in medieval texts.
