LGBTQ Students
-
Coming to university is a time during which many LGBT+ people come out to friends and family whilst at the same time being exposed to new people, as well as personal and academic challenges.
-
Whether you are sure and open about your gender and sexuality or not there are many resources available at Oxford and further afield to help you.
-
At Pembroke we welcome and accept everyone, regardless of their gender and sexuality.
-
However, should you experience discrimination of any sort, we hope you would feel comfortable to raise it with someone in college.
-
Anyone on our Welfare People page is happy to talk with you, however you may wish to speak with your JCR (undergraduate) or MCR (graduate) LGBT+ representative too.
PEMBROKE DIVERSITY WEEK
As a celebration of diversity within College, Pembroke's JCR held its inaugural annual Diveristy Week in April 2016. Find out about the week's events here.
LGBTQ+ SOCIETY AND SOCIALISING
The LGBTQ+ society offers a range of events from Tuesday drinks (in a different college bar each time) to specific bi, female, and trans meetups. There is also an LGBTQ+ Society handbook available here. Subscribe to their mailing list to receive all the latest LGBT+ related news!
