Graduate Scholarships

Four graduate scholarships will be available to graduates accepted by the University for the academic year starting October 2012. They are likely to be linked with the University-administered Clarendon scholarships and therefore no separate application to Pembroke will be required. Santander Scholarships

Three Santander scholarships are available to new graduates who have been accepted for a place on either a taught or research level degree at Oxford University and Pembroke College for the academic year starting October 2012. The scholarships are for £5,000 each for the duration of one year only. Graduates from any countries within the Santander network are eligible for the award - for details of which countries are included click here. There is no separate application process for these awards - all eligible graduates accepted for a place at Pembroke College will be automatically considered and notified accordingly if successful. We expect to make final decisions by the end of August 2012.

Gordon Aldrick Scholarship

The Gordon Aldrick scholarship is available to a new graduate accepted for a research degree in the area of Chinese cultural history at Oxford University. The award is renewable annually for the duration of the research period while the recipient is eligible to pay University and College fees, subject to satisfactory academic progress, and is for £5,000 per annum. All new graduates eligible for the award and holding an offer of a place both at the University and at Pembroke College, will be automatically considered for the award and do not need to submit a separate application. Other new graduates accepted for a place at Oxford University but who have not put Pembroke as their college choice should contact the Admissions & Access Officer to check if their application can be considered. Final decisions should be made around the beginnning of May 2012.

TEPCO Scholarship

The TEPCO Scholarship is available to a new graduate starting a two or three year research degree at Oxford University in the area of Japanese cultural studies. The award is renewable annually for the duration of the research period while the recipient is eligible to pay University and College fees, subject to satisfactory academic progress, and is for £5,000 per annum. Please note this award is currently committed and is expected to be offered again in October 2013.

Stanley Ho Scholarship

The Stanley Ho Scholarship is available to a new graduate starting a two or three year research degree at Oxford University in the area of Chinese studies. The award is renewable annually for the duration of the research period while the recipient is eligible to pay University and College fees, subject to satisfactory academic progress, and is for £5,000 per annum. Some opportunities for teaching may be available. Please note this award is currently committed and is expected to be offered again in October 2013.

Vocal Scholarships

A Vocal Scholarship is awarded each year to a suitably qualified student, whether graduate or undergraduate. Recipients do not need be studying Music. The scholar is entitled to 24 lessons without charge during the year from Nicola Harrison, Tutor in Singing and Interpretation. For more information please contact the Academic Office.

Venezuelan Scholarship

The Venezuelan scholarship is available to a graduate of Venezuelan nationality undertaking postgraduate study at Oxford University, with preference for graduates studying Medical or Biological Sciences. The value of the award is around £12,000 per annum. Please note this award is currently committed and is expected to be offered again in October 2014.
