University Bursaries
University Bursaries will help to support undergraduate students throughout their courses. Please read the following carefully to check whether you are eligible.
Oxford Opportunity Bursaries
If you are in your first year and have a direct entry place (i.e. not a confirmed deferred entry place) and receive a HE Maintenance Grant or Special Support Grant of any level, you are eligible for an award from the Oxford Opportunity Bursary Scheme.
You do not need to make a separate application to receive an Oxford Opportunity Bursary, but you do need to have signed the bursary consent statement on your PN1 form. If you have done this and you are eligible for a bursary, you should receive a letter from the Student Funding Office explaining your entitlement. If you qualify, you will receive between £100 and £4,000 in your first year and between £100 and £3,000 in subsequent years depending on your household income. If you are a student applying to SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland) or you believe you have not signed the bursary consent statement, you need to contact SAAS or the SLC to give them permission to pass on your household income information to us.
You may not receive your full Oxford Opportunity Bursary entitlement if you do not make all reasonable efforts to obtain a final status for your support notification letter.
