Room Types

Pembroke offers a wide range of student accommodation on two main sites:

Pembroke College

From October 2012 the College will have just short of 300 rooms, including 5 flats for graduate couples, in a range of both modern and historic buildings on its recently extended and centrally located main site.

Sir Geoffrey Arthur Building

98 rooms in a modern riverside building a short walk from the main site, reserved for final year undergraduates and for graduates.  Rooms are arranged in 'staircases' of 4-6 single study bedrooms with a shared kitchen, 2 bath/shower rooms and a separate wc.

Houses

There are also two houses with a total of nine rooms, reserved for graduate students, close to the railway station and Said Business School.

For convenience and charging rooms are banded as follows:

  • Band A - Smaller rooms with washroom facilities nearby
  • Band B - Average size rooms with washroom facilities nearby
  • Band C - Larger rooms with wash room facilities nearby
  • Band D - Rooms with ensuite shower and WC
  • Band E - Larger rooms with ensuite shower and WC

Rooms at the Geoffrey Arthur Building have their own price band, similar to a C Band room on the main site.  All rooms are equipped with washbasin, desk and desk chair. Student kitchens are situated in various locations in College near to student rooms and are available to all. The pictures below are intended as representative examples only.  As many rooms are located in historic buildings actual sizes, shapes and layouts will vary.
