Pembroke welcomes two new fellows.
The following new Fellows have been appointed. Dr Nick Kruger (Biology) and Professor Rodney E Phillips (Fellow by Special Election).
Dr Kruger's research focuses on the regulation of carbohydrate metabolism in plants and the application of metabolic control analysis to processes occurring during seed germination. The work involves physiological and biochemical analysis of transgenic plants.
Professor Rodney E Phillips has been elected as a Fellow by Special Election. He is Director of the Medawar institute which does work in HIV, malaria, hepatitis C and more broadly in global health. As Associate Head of the Medical Sciences Division he led the RAE return and Chairs the Research Committee.
