Conferences and Banqueting
Pembroke College is something of an undiscovered gem. Conference delegates regularly comment on the beauty of the College and its gardens, seemingly full of colour all year round.
Ideally situated, close to the city centre, Pembroke is easily accessible via train, bus and car. Our second site (the Geoffrey Arthur Building, or GAB), just ten minutes walk away, lies set back overlooking the river Isis and provides an ideal base for those groups wishing to take advantage of a wide range of facilities all on the one site.
Conferences and meetings are held at the Pembroke main site in the original teaching rooms which, whilst retaining their unique historic learning environment, are now also fully equipped for the modern age. Our largest rooms seat up to 45 people, with several smaller rooms available as break-out rooms or for groups of up to 10 or 12. For a more modern alternative, the large meeting room at our Geoffrey Arthur Building can seat up to 100 people. Pembroke College offers a full range of prices to meet your needs, including fully inclusive day and 24 hour delegate rates.
Banqueting historically has been at the cornerstone of Oxford University educational traditions. Lunches and Dinners can be served in our magnificent 19th century Hall (which can seat up to 142 for a formal dinner) or in the adjoining Forte Room (which can seat up to 48 people). The atmosphere with silver and candles is truly memorable, as is the locally sourced food all lovingly prepared on site.
Accommodation is available during student vacations. Over 80 rooms on our main site have been sympathetically renovated in recent years to include an ensuite shower room. Many of our bedrooms have unique attractive views overlooking Pembroke quads.
